Holocaust Education Through Collaborative Art
A meaningful, hands-on Holocaust education experience that helps students connect with the six million Jewish lives lost.
How do you help students begin to understand the enormity of six million lives lost in the Holocaust?
The Six Million Project offers a hands-on Holocaust education activity in which students color small rectangles, each representing one Jewish life. Every student's contribution becomes part of a larger collaborative artwork, creating a powerful visual memorial to the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust.
Through this shared creative experience, students engage with Holocaust remembrance in a tangible and meaningful way. Their work contributes to a growing global memorial that connects schools and communities through a shared act of remembrance.

More Than a Lesson. An Experience.
The Six Million Project gives students an opportunity to move beyond learning about the Holocaust as a historical event and take part in an act of remembrance.
As students color their individual pages, they become part of a collective effort to represent six million Jewish lives. Each small rectangle is one person; together, the rectangles form a larger artwork that makes the enormity of the loss visible.
The experience encourages reflection, participation and a shared sense of responsibility for keeping Holocaust memory alive. It can complement existing Holocaust education programmes and remembrance activities in schools.
